Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia is a seasonal theme park. You can't drop in whenever you want to because it's closed during the colder months of the year.Busch Gardens VA opens every spring. The theme park begins its operating season around Spring Break time...and 2011 will be no exception! Busch Gardens Williamsburg is now open for its 2011 season! This year, Busch Gardens Williamsburg opened on Saturday, March 26th. Busch Gardens will open daily for a short while this spring to celebrate school vacation time. Then, it will ease back into it's usual "weekends only" schedule for the rest of spring, until summer vacation time. (Note: The March 26, 2011 opening date is for the Busch Gardens theme park only. The super-fun Water Country USA water park always opens later in the year. This year, Water Country USA had it's opening day was Saturday, May 21, 2011!) During the summer vacation period every year, Busch Gardens opens daily. In 2011, there will be 3 entire months---June, July and August---that the park will be open every day of the week! But...after Labor Day in September, the Busch Gardens theme park hours will be cut back once again to weekends-only. Fall is an exciting time every year at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Not just one, but TWO major holidays are celebrated in a big way. Halloween time is celebrated with the popular Howl-o-Scream festival, one of the USA's major theme park Halloween events. And, in December, the Busch Gardens Christmas Town celebration draws many visitors with its old-fashioned charm and its sense of excitement in the air. Summer vacation time is over after Labor Day...and many Virginia residents and visitors head off to school & work again.But there's good news---Howl-O-Scream begins in September! You'll be able to enjoy some scary, screamin' fun starting on Friday, September 23rd! Here are Busch Gardens VA's operating schedule for September, 2011: Thursday & Friday, September 1st & 2nd: On these 2 weekdays, Busch Gardens VA's open hours are 10 am to 7 pm Saturday, September 3rd: Park opening time is 10 am & closing time is 10 pm. Sunday, September 4: Busch Gardens opening time is at 10 am & closing time is at 9 pm today Monday, September 5: Today you may enjoy the Labor Day holiday at Busch Gardens from 10 am to 7 pm Tuesday thru Friday, Sept 6, 7, 8, 9: Busch Gardens Williamsburg is CLOSED on these dates. Here is the easy to remember operating schedule for October:Saturdays in October: The first Saturday of the month (Oct 1), Busch Gardens Williamsburg will open at 10 am and close at 10 pm. Every other Saturday, the park will open at 10 am and close 1 hour later at 11 pm. Sundays in October: Every Sunday in October, Busch Gardens Virginia will be opening at 10 am and closing at 10 pm Fridays in October: The park opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm every Friday in October Every Monday through Thursday in October: Busch Gardens is only open Fridays Saturdays and Sundays in October.
