CA Great America Discount Tickets,

coupons, and other California's Great America deals!

In the slide show above, you're viewing pictures of fun CA Great America roller coasters, rides and attractions. What could be more fun than spending a day at California's Great America? Hardly anything...EXCEPT for spending the day at discount prices! On this page, you'll discover good places to get CA Great America coupons & discounts.

CA Great America Ticket Prices

What do full-price tickets cost at California's Great America in Santa Clara?

How can you tell if you're getting a good deal on CA Great America tickets? By first knowing how much regular price tickets cost, of course...then making a comparison.

Adult tickets to California's Great America cost $54.99 at the front gate. Who needs to buy an "adult" ticket? Age doesn't necessarily mean anything. Anyone over 48 inches tall needs to purchase an "adult" ticket. The one exception is seniors age 62 and above.

Senior tickets cost only $34.99 at the gate--quite a price difference!

Junior tickets also cost only $34.99. Who counts as being a "junior?" Anyone under the height of 48 inches tall.

Babies and toddlers under the age of 3 years old are admitted free of charge.

So, how can you lower the cost of your family's trip to Great America? On the rest of this page, you'll discover a number of good ways to spend less for your day of fun!

* Note: the discounts on this page are NOT good at Six Flags Great America in Chicago, IL. That is a separate theme park which is in no way connected with the Santa Clara Great America park (which was formerly known as Paramount's Great America.)

Great America discount tickets at the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce

The city of Santa Clara wants you to visit California's Great America in 2011...and they're willing to help you out! You can get some of the very best prices available from the city who stands to gain from your hotel stay, meal purchases, and visits to other attractions in the area!

You can get CA Great America discount tickets from the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce. If you're looking for an ultra-discount ticket, the Santa Clara COC's price is going to be hard to beat: it's only $33 for a one-day ticket to California's Great America. The catch? You have to go to the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce in person to buy them; these super discount tickets are not available online. However, if you're one of the people who chases all over town to buy coupons from Craig's List anyway, then this is just the deal for YOU. Why would you risk finding a stranger's house when you could head to the Chamber of Commerce without fears of bad neighborhoods or getting lost, instead? And, you'll feel absolutely secure in knowing that the ticket you've just purchased WILL be accepted at the theme park's gates without any problems!

If you're visiting from out of town, you'll especially want to pay attention to the Santa Clara COC's special deals on hotel and ticket combos. You'll be able to get both lodging and theme park admission cheaper than purchasing both items separately.

Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce hours & address: The Chamber Store is located at 1850 Warburton Avenue, Santa Clara, CA 95095. This location is only four miles away from CA Great America. If you're visiting the theme park on a weekday, it would be very convenient to stop in before heading to the park. (The Chamber Store hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday. They accept VISA, MC, cash, and checks. You may call phone number 800-272-6800 for questions about these discount tickets.) The problem, of course, is that they're not open on weekends, so you'd have to make a special trip to get your tickets another day if you're going to the park on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday. Here's a Google map to the Santa Clara COC store. And, here's the Santa Clara COC's discount ticket page, so that you may double-check this offer for yourself.

CA Great America's Print at Home Discounts

California's Great America itself wants to help you afford a trip to their theme park! So, you'll find a number of very good specials right on the park's own website. Here are several Great America ticket discounts which you'll find hard to resist:

1.) Great America ticket 4-pack: If you go to CA Great America in groups of 4 or more, then you will find that the park's own website will give you an outstanding deal that's hard to beat---two tickets for $65. Purchased in lots of 4, the price per ticket will only cost you $34.50. This price is NOT good for Halloween Haunt.

2.) Advance Purchase print-at-home discounts: Here's a terrific ticket special that you won't find very many theme parks offering---an advance purchase discount! With this special deal, all you have to do is buy your tickets 3 or more days in advance...and you can get the terrific price of $35.99. The theme park wisely knows that would-be visitors may change their park plans at the last minute & do something else instead. To keep them from doing that, they're willing to give you a very good discount simply for planning ahead & NOT changing your mind!

3.) Multi-visit discount: Still another wonderful discount is the two-visit ticket. You may visit any two regular operating days during the 2011 season for $59.99...which works out to only $30 per visit.

4.) Last-minute one-day discount ticket: Even if you don't decide until the very last second that you'll be going to California's Great Adventure, you'll still get a substantial print-at-home discount. You can get admission tickets for $45.99 on the park's website...even if you print them out just as you're heading out the door!

If you'd like to check out these discounts, here's a link to the California's Great America ticketing page on the park's official website.

More CA Great America single-day discounts!

1.) AAA discounts to CA Great America: You can show your AAA card at the theme park's ticket booths to receive a small discount of about $5. However, you may be able to get an even better discount by purchasing your tickets through your local office or a branch of the AAA near the theme park. The closest AAA to California's Great America is located at 80 Saratoga Ave (at Stevens Creek Blvd,) Santa Clara, CA 95051.

2.) Twitter and Facebook contests: While California's Great America isn't as active as some other theme parks on Twitter and Facebook, they do have accounts at both social media sites and make updates regularly. Several contests for discounts and freebies were held in 2010; and, most probably, there will be new contests coming up in 2011! The park's Twitter page may be found at http://twitter.com/CAGreatAmerica and their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/cagreatamerica. California's Great America also has a blog page which may, at some point, have news about discounts.

3.) Corporate discounts: Have you checked to see if you can get CA Great America's discount tickets or coupons through your employer or professional organization? These discounts may be available & waiting for you...and you might never know if you don't ask. (Depending on the date of your visit, you might be able to go to CA Great America for as little as $24.99 to $29.99 with a corporate discount.) If your office isn't signed up for the program, maybe that's a situation you could encourage them to change! In addition to the discount ticket program for individual tickets, the corporate sales department can also arrange for employee group days, catering, and team building events. Here's the park's corporate discounts and programs section, where you'll discover all the different plans available.

4.) Birthday Party discount: Does CA Great America have facilities for holding birthday parties? Yes---and birthday parties for 12 or more people get a terrific discount price, as well. You can hold your child's next birthday party at California's Great America...and the price you'll pay per guest (WITH a simple meal and birthday cupcakes included) will be far less than the price of admission tickets alone! Also, you'll get to spend 1 hour in the park's birthday party area, get a gift for the birthday girl or boy, have all of your paper goods included (plates, napkins, decorations) AND not have to mess with cleanup! To check current prices and meal options, here's a link to the CA Great America Birthday Party info from the theme park's official website.

CA Great America Season Passes

Frequent theme park-goers will save money with a California's Great America season pass. Despite all the very good offers for one or two day visits, you can't beat the savings of having a season pass if you go to CGA monthly (or more!) If you think it's to early to get your season pass, you may change your mind. Early Bird Specials are going on at the park's website (see link below,) and you can save money by planning ahead & getting your pass while prices are at their cheapest.

Season pass-holders can bring friends to the park at great discounts! Pass holders may take advantage of special "friend" discount dates, with steeply discounted admission. (On most days this year, you'll be able to bring a family member or friend with you to the park for only $26.99!) Other special perks for season pass holders are listed below:

Regular Season Pass Info: Regular season passes cost the least. This includes admission to California's Great America and the Boomerang Bay water park during the entire 2012 season. And, if you love scary thrills, you'll want a Gold Pass---because it includes free admission to the park's Halloween Haunt in October, too!

Platinum Season Pass: Roller coaster nerds have become a force to reckon with in the tourism industry...and if you're planning a USA roller coaster tour this summer, you'll almost certainly benefit from getting the Platinum Pass.
