(And kids under 48 inches tall cost $31.99; ages 2 & under are free.) These are not really horrible prices for admission to a good theme park...and Discovery Kingdom is a VERY good theme park, packed with more fun and variety than you can possibly see in one day. Still...if you're thinking that there must surely be a way to lower your family's cost of admission, especially in these lean times---you're absolutely right!Don't every show up at Discovery Kingdom's gate without some kind of discount pre-planned! There's absolutely NO need to pay full price (although many people do; don't let this be YOU!) Print-at-home Discovery Kingdom discount ticketsYou can save big bucks simply by thinking ahead!There are 2 very good ways to save money by purchasing your Discovery Kingdom tickets online before heading to the park. (1) Discovery Kingdom's own print-at-home discounts; and (2) the ARES Travel agency's special print-at-home Discovery Kingdom tickets.1) Online ticketing from Discovery Kingdom saves $$! The park is eager to help families visit them despite the current tough times...and these days there's almost always a good print-at-home Discovery Kingdom discount on the park's own website. Also, getting Discovery Kingdom season passes (also available by printing at home) can be an absolutely wonderful way for theme park-loving families to save lots of money. ARES Travel Agency discounts: ARES Travel, an agency which specializes in discount tickets & vacations, offers Six Flags Discovery Kingdom tickets which sometimes beat the price of the park's own print-at-home prices. If you're looking for 1-day tickets (ARES doesn't sell season passes) then it doesn't hurt to check out the current prices for Discovery Kingdom discount tickets from ARES Travel. This is a print-at-home Discovery Kingdom coupon that you take with you to the park and use at the ticket windows. Post Cereal FREE TICKET coupon for Discovery Kingdom: Specially-marked boxes of Post Cereals are available...and they're printed with a very good Six Flags coupon! If you're a Discovery Kingdom fan, you'll want to find one of these special Post Cereal boxes---because with this coupon, you may buy 1 adult ticket at regular price and get 1 child's ticket FREE! These Post Cereal coupons are printed directly on the inside of the box (so open the box carefully.) You simply need to cut out the coupon and take it to the Discovery Kingdom ticket window to receive your free kid's ticket. 3.) Stride Gum's Discovery Kingdom discount coupon: Stride Gum has been sponsoring events at Discovery Kingdom and other Six Flags parks. And even better, Stride Gum has recently posted a Six Flags "everyone pays kid's price" coupon on its Facebook page! This coupon will be good at Discovery Kingdom (and other participating Six Flags theme parks) all the way through October 11, 2010. However, it's currently unknown how long that Stride Gum will keep this coupon posted...so it's always safest to print it up now, and then keep it until you need it. Napa Premium Outlets discount coupon for Discovery Kingdom: You can get a print-at-home coupon for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom from the Napa Premium Outlets...which is a terrific outlet mall about a half-hour's drive from the theme park. (If you're a shopping-lover, visiting the outlet mall makes a great addition to your Discovery Kingdom vacation.) To get a coupon that's good for "Adults at the kid's price of $29.99" you'll need to join the Napa Premium Outlet's VIP Club. It's free to join, and gives you access to many outlet store coupons in addition to the Discovery Kingdom deal. Employer discount coupons: If you live in an area close to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, you may have the chance to get good theme park discount coupons through your employer. The date included the rare opportunity to be chauffeured in the park's iconic Fright Fest hearse, and to get free admission to the park's extra-fee haunted houses. No, Discovery Kingdom isn't ALWAYS running a contest. During the week you plan to visit the park, there may be no chance to win tickets. But, it's always worth taking a look to see, right? If you're familiar with Coke Rewards, you know that you enter codes from Coke product bottles & cartons to get your Coke Rewards points. (This includes beverages which aren't soda pop...such as Dasani water and Minute Maid juices.) Once you've accumulated 1,000 points, you'll get your free Six Flags Discovery Kingdom ticket. This means that by visiting the park on the same day as several other families, you can pre-order your tickets and get a good savings! Discovery Kingdom Military Discounts: Yes, Six Flags Discovery Kindom DOES offer good military discount tickets. But, NO, you can't purchase them at the theme park. Where can you find these cheap tickets? At the MWR/ITR office on your military base. 5.) AAA discount to Discovery Kingdom: It's not a terrific discount, but if you arrive at the ticket booth with no other way to save money, it's better than nothing. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is a member of the "Show your card and save" program. By showing your AAA membership card, you'll receive $5 off your tickets (up to 6.) Professional association discounts: If you're a member of a professional organization or credit union, your group may have pre-arranged discounts...and you may not even be aware of them! For example, the California Teachers Association offers Six Flags Discovery Kingdom discounts to its 325,000 members and their families. Club TPR: Club TPR is a theme park discount card which is being offered by the Theme Park Review website. For only $40, you can get discounts on a number of theme parks across the USA (and some in other countries, too!) More importantly for Bay Area residents and visitors is the card's ability to knock $18 off of adult tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom tickets---each and every time you go to the park! If so, you may use it for a 5% discount on Discovery Kingdom admission. If 5% doesn't sound so great to you, then consider this: it's the ONLY discount you may use together with Discovery Kingdom's own print-at-home savings! (All of the coupons mentioned earlier on this page must be used when making a FULL PRICE ticket purchase at the park's ticket booths.) So, the Discovery Card discount gives you an extra 5% on top of the already-generous Discovery Kingdom online savings.
