Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's rides, attractions and animal shows continue running during Fright Fest. Your kids can enjoy all the delightful animals in the park's "Land" and "Sea" areas. Young ones may enjoy the kiddie rides and attractions, and older members of the family will have a chance to board their favorite roller coasters. In addition, the theme park offers you a number of fun seasonal activities. Halloween decorations abound in the park, and set a fun atmosphere for Fall fun. Families of toddlers and preschoolers should note, however, that some "scary" decorations, such as skeletons, are part of the decor. Mr. Six and the park's Looney Tunes characters come all dressed up in their Halloween costumes! Maybe your kids can get their picture taken with Pirate Daffy Duck, Ballplayer Tweety Bird, or Vampire Bugs Bunny! Mr. Six's Spooktacular Street Party is a fun family Halloween activity you won't want to miss. You'll get to enjoy seeing Mr. Six and your favorite Looney Tunes friends dancing to seasonal music...and you might want to join in!
Mr. Six won't be the only one dancing. As you can see in the slide show pics above, a group of talented ghoulish dancers re-create Michael Jackson's famous Thriller dance...and do a very good job of it! Ghouls and monsters do more than dance at Discovery Kingdom, though. They also try their best to scare you...and sometimes they can sneak up & catch you completely unawares! 2 extra-fee haunted houses, one called the "Holiday House of Horrors" and the other named "Bayou Hazard" are available for those who want more terrifying fare. Most Halloween activities are included with your "normal" admission fee, however, making the Discovery Kingdom's Halloween event an economical way to celebrate the season. Shouka the killer whale, the Discovery Kingdom dolphins, and the park's sea lions also have cute Halloween shows which will delight family members of all ages. Check your schedule of showtimes as you enter the park, though...or you might miss the show you want to see (there aren't too many show times for these events.)
