Six Flags Discovery Kingdom address

Discovery Kingdom is located in Vallejo, CA...a convenient location for guests arriving from many locations

The Six Flags Discovery Kingdom phone number is 707-643-6722.

The Six Flags Discovery Kingdom address is 1001 Fairgrounds Drive Vallejo, CA 94589.

Vallejo, California is at the northeastern end of San Francisco Bay Area. The theme park is located just a few blocks west of I-80 at exit 33. In fact, it's hard to miss...because the theme park's tall roller coasters may be seen from Interstate 80.

Exit 33 of I-80 will lead you onto SR 37 (aka Marine World Parkway.) You won't stay on Route 37 for long. At the first exit (for Fairgrounds Drive,) you'll be at your destination: Fairgrounds Drive. Simply head south one block from the freeway, and you'll be at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's entrance drive.

Discovery Kingdom has gone by other names, including Six Flags Marine World and Marine World Africa-USA. Since the maps you have at home may not be marked with the latest name (which is Six Flags Discovery Kingdom,) you should be aware that the other names exist on plenty of maps that are still in use today. No, you're not in the wrong place if your map says "Marine World!"

You may use the Google Custom Map to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (located to your left) to help you find your way.

Driving by car:

PDF Printable maps to Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA

With a good map or GPS system in your car, it will be easy to find Discovery Kingdom. Of course, without a map on hand to use as a reference, it may be more difficult. If you don't have a map handy, you may print out one or more of the following maps to Vallejo, California.

Printable PDF map of the Northern California region: Many park visitors come from afar. If you're one of them, you might be interested in the following PDF map of the northern California region. This map covers quite a large area, and is good for getting "the big picture" of the theme park's general location. The map begins at the California/Oregon border and covers all points south through the entire San Francisco Bay area. Going in the other direction, the map begins at the CA/Nevada border and covers all points west to the Pacific Ocean.

PDF printable map of the San Francisco Bay area: For getting a more detailed view of Vallejo's location within the Bay Area, you'll want a map which narrows its focus a bit more. Here's a printable PDF map of the entire San Francisco Bay area, with Vallejo, CA near the northern end of the map (just south of Napa.) You'll see that Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's location is marked with a red square.

This map is from the www.VisitCalifornia.com website, which is California's official tourism site. If you've got time, you'll discover a wealth of tourist information about the state by browsing through the website.

Arriving by sea:

You can reach Discovery Kingdom by boat from San Francisco!

Vallejo, CA has a ferry terminal several miles from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. This is terrific for theme park visitors who wish to see San Francisco's lovely waterfront attractions...without having to mess with the big-city traffic.

San Francisco residents and visitors may do the same thing in reverse...namely, take a boat from the city to Vallejo, and skip the driving & toll bridge stops.

Every summer, the Blue & Gold Fleet offers a package service for Discovery Kingdom visitors. This includes both the ferry boat service from San Francisco to Vallejo, as well as bus shuttle service for the last several miles from the terminal to the theme park. For information on this service, here's a link to the Blue & Gold Fleet's Discovery Kingdom page of the www.BlueAndGoldFleet.com website.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Maps

Print out a map before your visit...so you'll be ready to zip to your favorite attractions!

If you haven't yet been to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, you may wish to print out a map showing you where all the major attractions are located. This is a good idea...and it's easy to do because the park's own website offers several maps for its visitors to use.

Discovery Kingdom is much larger than the maps makes it look. The problem with a doll-sized map is that it makes the theme park look so easy to conquer. It's not. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom offers an unusually wide variety of attractions...from roller coasters & thrill rides...to family rides...to marine life exhibits and shows...to a zoo area with its own exhibits and shows. (Plus, of course, the 3 kiddie ride areas & multitudes of stores and fast food restaurants.) You WILL get tired! And, if you want to see everything (and you should; the park offers very good attractions)...then you WON'T see it all in one day.

Remember that viewing a Discovery Kingdom map is only a part of the story. The other important thing to do is GET A SCHEDULE of the animal shows. The schedule is only available when you enter the park. Since each of the different marine, bird and land-animal shows are only offered several times a day, your carefully planned-out route through the theme park will be thrown a wrench at the last moment. The timing of the shows you want to see will probably make it difficult to see the park in a neat & orderly fashion. That's OK, though; doing a little back-tracking is "worth it" in order to be able to catch the park's terrific shows!

Now, for the Discovery Kingdom maps: Here's a link to the PDF printable map of Discovery Kingdom, showing the park's major attractions. And, here's the Google map of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's attractions. It's a good idea to view BOTH of them. Each one will give you a different perspective of this large and diverse theme park...and everything you can learn about it ahead of time will save you some footsteps later on. The PDF map clearly shows the pedestrian routes from one attraction to another. However, the Google map...when turned to its "satellite" view...shows real photographs of Discovery Kingdom taken from the air. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is exceptionally beautiful from the air...having lovely pools, green trees, and the nicest-looking rooftops that you'll ever see.
