Great Adventure Discount Tickets
Find deals to make your New Jersey Six Flags trip cheaper!
In the slide show above, you can see pictures of fun attractions at New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure theme park. Whether you're looking for extreme thrills...or want a mild family outing with kids...the well-rounded Great Adventure park has LOTS of entertainment for all ages and interests. On this page, you'll find strategies for getting deals and discounts to this popular theme park.
List of best Great Adventure discount ticket options
1.) The easiest way to get Great Adventure discount tickets is to use the www.SixFlags.com print-at-home ticket deals. Tickets ALWAYS cost less on the Six Flags official website than at the theme park---and why not? When you purchase tickets online, you don't need to spend time face-to-face with an employee to purchase them, which saves the theme park money. But, why are they willing to pass that savings along to you? Because, once you buy your tickets online, you WILL go to the park. It's a "done deal." But, if they allow you to slip away without purchasing your tickets, you might never make it there. You may go to the beach instead...or shopping...or one of a zillion other choices that are available to you. The park wants you firmly committed to your Great Adventure plans--and they're willing to give you a discount to make that commitment. To check for current web-only print-at-home discounts, here's a link to the Six Flags Great Adventure tickets and discounts page.
2.) Other Six Flags official discount promotions: Great Adventure has had a "Big Six Pass" offered during 2009. This deal may end at any time, but it has been a great way to visit Great Adventure 6 different times this season for one low price. 3.) Coke Can discounts at Great Adventure: Earlier this year, Six Flags Great Adventure discount coupons were printed on a large batch of Coke cans. Once all of these specially marked cans were sold, no more were printed. In your area, these have probably all been sold by now. However, HOPEFULLY, you thought ahead and saved a can---because if you did, you're in luck! These Coke can discount coupons are still good to use for the rest of this season---including the park's fun Fright Fest in October. If you missed getting a Coke can this year, you should remember to keep your eyes out next spring. The park honchos may or may not issue Coke discounts in 2010--they can always change their minds at any time. But, if tradition holds, another Coke discount should be coming again. 4.) Merchant discount coupons: From time to time, Six Flags Great Adventure has issued coupons distributed through local businesses, such as Wendy's and McDonald's. These may look like regular grocery coupons that you can get at the ordering counter, or sometimes you have to buy a certain product (eg. a large size drink, with a coupon printed on the cup.) It's difficult to say when you might find one of these types of coupons, because they come and go rapidly, and they're not distributed in every geographical area. (In other words, you may find a Great Adventure coupon at a particular fast food restaurant, but your friend living in another city might not.) If you can't find one, the good news is that these coupons give you about the same discount as Six Flags' own print-at-home discount. The big advantage of coming across a coupon is that you don't need a credit or a debit card to take advantage of the offer. You may use cash to buy it at a Great Adventure ticket window.
5.) Great Adventure season pass holders have discount coupons! If you know a season pass-holder, ask him or her to look in the coupon book that all Great Adventure pass holders are given. (Not every pass holder remembers that they have valuable discount coupons! Every year, many good coupons---for deep discounts and "free friend" days---are not even used.) If you don't have a friend who's a passholder, consider buying season passes for some of your family members...so that other family members can get in cheaply---or even free---on the dates of "bring a friend" specials! For more information the advantages of having an annual pass to the park, please see the "Great Adventure Season Pass Discounts" section (below on this page.)6.) Great Adventure military discounts: Current members of the military DO get a discount to the Great America theme park. The bad news? You can't get this discount at the gate. According to Great America, "Most military bases offer discounted admission tickets at their MWR/ITR offices." So, think ahead and save money! 7.) AAA discount to Great Adventure: There IS an AAA discount to Great Adventure. The bad news? It's not a very big one compared to the park's own print-at-home discounts or the Coke can discount. The good news, though, is that you CAN use the AAA discount at the park's ticket booths through AAA's "Show your card and save" program. So, if you haven't thought ahead to print your tickets, then a small discount is certainly better than no discount at all!
Great Adventure Season Pass discounts
1.) Plan ahead---early-season and late-season discounts can save you money! Some times these early or late-season discounts are offered, and sometimes they're not.Spring early-bird discounts on season passes are the best deal. While there's no guarantee that there will actually be an early-purchase discount in 2010, there usually IS one. Why? Because in the spring, the weather is just starting to warm up again. People are busy with school & work...and they're not thinking about going to a theme park. Spring attendance is a lot lighter at Great Adventure, and the lure of cheap season passes helps to get people to the park when they probably wouldn't visit otherwise. Keep your eyes open next spring to take advantage of early-bird savings! If season pass sales are sluggish, Great Adventure will offer periodic sales to encourage people to buy them, even if it's not early or late in the season. To see if there are currently any special deals, you may use the following link to check the Six Flags Great Adventure tickets and season passes page. 2.) Buy a season pass...even if it's NOT on sale: If you want to get a season pass in the middle of summer, you'll pay full price for it. Even so, it's a good deal for avid theme park enthusiasts who will actually USE a pass. In addition to getting admitted to Great Adventure until the end of the season, you'll get the following extra benefits-- a.) You'll receive a Great Adventure discount coupon book when you buy a season pass. You will find about a dozen "bring a friend cheap" coupons...and even some "bring a friend FREE" coupons. (Note: these coupons are only good on select dates or during select time periods.) You'll find discounts on merchandise, food, games and photos, too.b.) You can get FREE admission into other theme parks owned by Six Flags! This offer is true no matter what Six Flags park you're at when you buy your season pass. This is a terrific deal for anyone living in the New Jersey area because there are 3 other Six Flags parks close enough to enjoy on a fun weekend getaway! (These are: Six Flags America near Washington DC; Six Flags New England in Massachusetts; and The Great Escape in Lake George, New York.) Not only will you have some local fun, you'll also have more fun on your vacations, too! c.) For only a small amount, you can add admission to Hurricane Harbor and Wild Safari to your Great Adventure season pass. It's a really good deal for people who enjoy the water park and the animal park.
3.) Consider getting your season pass at Six Flags America next year. Six Flags America (near Washington DC & Baltimore) isn't as big as Great Adventure...and it costs less for a season pass. If you'll be visiting that area next spring, you may be able to save money when you buy next year's pass...and, of course, you can use it at Great Adventure, too.
