Overview of Great Adventure's park scheduleSix Flags Great Adventure is a seasonally-operated theme park. It's open about 7 months out of each year...from approximately Spring Break time until the end of the Halloween Fright Fest season.During the Spring and Fall, 6 Flags Great Adventure is open only on weekends and during vacation periods. When the weather is sunny and warm, these can be some of the best months to visit both Great Adventure and its sister-park, Six Flags Wild Safari (a drive-through animal park adjacent to the theme park.) Crowds can be much lighter because not everyone has the topic of theme parks on their mind at this time. Summer days can be very crowded at Great Adventure. However, the park's schedule of shows and entertainment is at its fullest during the summer months---and the park's hours of operation are at their longest. Six Flags Great Adventure opened on Saturday, March 27th for its 2010 operating season! Then it is scheduled to stay open daily for 2 weeks for the Easter/Spring Break vacation season.Rain is in the forecast for some of these dates. If you're in doubt about the weather, be sure to call the park ahead of time to make sure it will be operating as planned. The Six Flags Wild Safari park is open from 9 am until 4 pm on all dates that the theme park is in operation. Here are the scheduled operating dates for March & April 2010, weather permitting: Saturday, March 27, 2010: Scheduled opening day for the park's 2010 operating season! Great Adventure opens at 10:30 am and closes at 8 pm. Sunday, March 28 thru Wednesday, March 31: Six Flags Great Adventure is scheduled to operate on these 4 dates of Spring Break! Great Adventure opens at 10:30 am and closes at 8 pm, weather permitting. Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, April 1, 2, & 3: Six Flags Great Adventure's opening time is 10:30 am & its closing time is 8 pm for these 3 dates. Sunday, April 4: Six Flags Great Adventure is CLOSED on Easter Sunday for a private event. The Wild Safari animal park WILL be open from 9 am until 4 pm, however. Saturday, April 10 & Sunday, April 11: The Six Flags Great Adventure theme park will be open this weekend from 10:30 am until 8 pm. Monday thru Friday, April 12 thru 16: The Six Flags Great Adventure theme park will be CLOSED on these 5 weekdays. Saturday, April 17 & Sunday, April 18: Six Flags Great Adventure will be open this weekend from 10:30 am until 8 pm. July 2010 hours for Six Flags Great AdventureSummer is in full swing at Six Flags in July, and the hours are longer than they will be all year. The July hours at 6 Flags Great Adventure are very simple. The park is open from 10:30 am through 10 pm every day except July 1st, when it will be open from 10:30 am to 9 pm. Wild Safari is scheduled to be open from 9 am to 4 pm every day. Thursday, July 1st: Six Flags will be opening at 10:30 am and will be closing at 9 pm. All other days in July: Six Flags Great Adventure will open at 10:30 am and close at 10 pm. Six Flags Great Adventure hours--August 2010Summer is winding down, but the hours of operation at Six Flags Great America do not reflect this. Almost all month, the park will be open until 10 pm, just as was in July. Wild Safari is also scheduled to be open the same times as it was in July, from 9 am to 4 pm.
