This attractive, outdoor mall features 100+ outlet stores in a unique configuration. Kids will like the fact that it even has its own park! This large outdoor mall north of metro Phoenix features shaded walkways and a large air-conditioned food court for resting from the summer heat. Arizona Mills is a huge, fully-enclosed mall featuring entertainment (Harkins Theater, Carousel, arcade games) and an array of dining choices in addition to its stores. This is a hybrid mall featuring both outlets and regular retail stores (which typically have some merchandise marked at outlet prices.)

3.) Tucson--Foothills Mall: 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85741; phone 520/219-0650. Tucson's biggest outlet mall is actually a "hybrid," and like AZ Mills mentioned above, also offers regular retail stores, movies and restaurants in addition to outlet shopping. List of Colorado's best outlet malls

Colorado Mills is Colorado's biggest and busiest outlet mall. Fully enclosed for their visitors' comfort during cold winter or hot summer days, you'll find a plethora of dining and entertainment choices in addition to the mall's many shops.

2.) Castle Rock--Outlets at Castle Rock: address, 5050 Factory Shops Blvd, Castle Rock, CO 80108; phone, 303/688-4494. Here is the Outlets at Castle Rock website, for your convenience. Directions: The Outlets at Castle Rock are just south of the Denver area on I-25 at the US 85/Meadows Parkway exit. Since the outlets border the freeway, you should see them as soon as you exit the freeway and head west. You will turn right on Factory Shops Blvd once you turn West on Meadows Parkway. The Outlets at Castle Rock feature a striking architectural style meant to blend in with the forested look of the mall's Rocky Mountain backdrop (although, of course, the mall itself isn't in the mountains.) This outdoor mall is pleasantly landscaped for strolling on nice-weather days...and the sea of free parking on all sides of the mall allows you to pull up fairly close to the store you're seeking on those days when the weather makes you dash inside quickly.

The Loveland outlet mall is a "sister" to The Outlets at Castle Rock...only north of the Denver metro area instead of south. Though its architecture isn't as distinctive, and though there are a number of vacancies, this outlet mall's remaining stores and its convenience to north-metro residents makes it worth the drive to Loveland to investigate...as long as you don't drive too far.

4.) Silverthorne--Outlets at Silverthorne: address, 246-V Rainbow Drive, Silverthorne, CO 80498; phone number, 970/468-5780. Here's a link to the Outlets at Silverthorne website. Directions: The Outlets at Silverthorne span both sides of I-70 at the Highway 9/US 6 exit in Silverthorne. No matter which direction you turn, as long as you do not pass it, you will be near an entrance to the outlets. Since this layout is a bit hard to describe, we have included a link to a Google map of the Outlets at Silverthorne, which are not as clearly labeled as some other outlets are, and a very helpful PDF map of the parking, walking, and shuttles at the outlets, to make it easier to find your way around.

This large outdoor mall is housed in a series of 3 centers flanking both sides of Route 1. As such, you'll need to drive and re-park between some of the stores you'll be visiting. But, what could be more fun than adding an afternoon of bargain-hunting to your beach vacation? You'll be pleasantly surprised to find rare Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch outlets...or, you may simply not know where to start amongst all the clothing, shoe, housewares and specialty outlet stores available.

After enjoying Florida's Gulf Coast beaches, you'll surely want to head to this large, outdoor factory outlet center featuring 100+ top brands, including Brooks Brothers, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Strausburg Children, and plenty more.

2.) Ellenton/greater Tampa---Ellenton Premium Outlets (formerly known as the Ellenton Prime Outlets.) Address, 5461 Factory Shops Blvd, Ellenton, FL 34222; phone number (941) 723-1150. This cute, outdoor mall features Caribbean touches such as bright paint, awnings and shutters...and palm trees dot this nicely-landscaped property. A large choice of high-quality stores (including BCBG, Saks, Movado, Seiko, Disney, White House/Black Market) make this an excellent, well-rounded shopping destination.

3.) Estero/greater Ft. Myers--Miromar Outlets; address, 10801 Corkscrew Rd., Estero, FL 33928 (just off I-75 at the Corkscrew Rd exit.) The Miromar Outlets telephone is 239/948-3766. As you can see on this Google Map, the Miromar Outlets, are just west of I-75 at Corkscrew Road.

Come to shop...or to admire this open-air mall's lovely fountains, graceful palms and beautiful architecture. Hard-to-find designer outlets (including Escada, Faconnable, Esprit, Juicy Couture, St John and more) make this a fashionista's dream outlet shopping experience. Though dwarfed by the Miromar outlet mall in nearby Estero, the Tanger Ft Myers/Sanibel outlets offer convenient shopping with up-close parking, and a list of desirable brand names such as Guess, Coldwater Creek, Anne Klein, Jones New York, Coach and others. And, if you're heading to the popular Sanibel Island resort area, you'll pass this mall without going out of your way!

The Dolphin Mall is huge, air-conditioned, and it features entertainment and dining as well as shopping. Traditional outlets mingle with value-priced stores (such as Marshall's and Burlington Coat Factory, for example.) Outlets include names like Bebe, Aeropostale, BCBG, DKNY, Marciano, and Neiman Marcus Last Call.

Hot? Can't think of outlet shopping in the Florida humidity? Not a problem if you head to St. Augustine's fully-enclosed and climate-controlled Prime Outlets mall. You'll find some exciting designer outlets here---like Gucci, St John, Hugo Boss and Juicy Couture. Sawgrass Mills is a fun...and HUGE...mall in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. (You may even need to re-park in one of its many lots in order to get all your shopping done!) Expect to find a mix of everything--something in all price ranges and for all age groups--here. Ge sure to take time to eat a meal and catch a movie; entertainment is just a part of the Sawgrass Mall experience as shopping is!

Directions: The Vero Fashion Outlets are just off of I-95 at 20th St, exit 147, in Vero Beach. Once you get off of I-95 and turn west, 95th Drive should be your first left. The Vero Beach Outlets are an attractive outdoor mall featuring graceful architecture, attractive landscaping and sought-after stores. Convenience is a keyword here; the mall sits directly to the side of I-95 and has up-close parking near the stores you seek. Some of the mall's offerings include Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, BCBG Max Azria and Dooney & Bourke outlets.

List of Georgia outlet malls

1.) Calhoun Premium Outlets: If something seems different about the name of these outlets, it is because these outlets were previously known as the Calhoun Prime Outlets. The Calhoun Premium Outlets are a cute mid-sized mall conveniently located to the side of I-75 midway between Atlanta, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee. (Perfect shopping for vacationers!) Ann Taylor, Coach, Jones New York, Old Navy and Tommy Hilfiger are just some of the popular outlet stores at this Premium Outlet location.

2.) Commerce Tanger Outlets; address, 800 Steven B Tanger Blvd, Commerce, GA 30529; phone 706/335-3354. Here is a link to the Tanger Outlets of Commerce website. As you can see on this Google map, the Tanger outlets are on the northwest side of I-85, on the frontage road just to the southwest of exit 149.

The Commerce Tanger Outlets are actually a PAIR of outlets which flank either side of I-85 at the US 441 exit (which is northeast of metro Atlanta.) Needless to say, you'll have to re-park before you'll get all your shopping done...but that's no problem, since the parking lots are a generous size. A highlight here is one of the USA's few Abercrombie & Fitch outlet stores; a rare Hollister outlet is here, as well. Brooks Brothers, Fossil, Guess, Skechers and many others are available at the Commerce outlet mall, too.

3.) Darien Preferred Outlets, address, 1111 Magnolia Bluff Way SW , Darien, GA 31305; toll-free phone number 888/545-7224; local telephone, 912/437-8360.

This is one of the smallest outlets to make the "biggest and best" list. Located away from major cities, this mall is too far from most people to recommend as a destination in and of itself. However, it's got a juicy location directly to the side of I-95...which makes it a great rest-stop location for the thousands of travelers heading into the Orlando resort area every year. If you find yourself in this area, stop in to check out the approximately 30 outlets, including Coach, Johnston & Murphy, Nautica and Strasburg Children.

4.) Dawsonville--North Georgia Premium Outlets; address, 800 Highway 400 South, Dawsonville, GA 30534; phone number 706/216-3609. Here's a link to the North Georgia Premium Outlets website. The North Georgia Premium Outlets are north of Atlanta on US 19, as you can see on this Google Map.

The North Georgia Premium Outlets are a large, outdoor mall featuring attractive architecture and decorative touches such as greenery, benches & flowers in decorative containers. Large parking lots flank two sides of the mall; the outlet stores are grouped along pleasant outdoor corridors. This large factory outlet center boasts of 140+ stores, including such tony names as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Saks, and a rare Williams-Sonoma outlet. Unfortunately for tourists, however, this wonderful mall is not located along a major interstate freeway.

5.) Lawrenceville--Discover Mills Mall; address, 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30043; phone 678/847-5000. Here is the Discover Mills Mall website link for your convenience.

Discover Mills is a popular and convenient indoor mall. Its location is directly to the side of I-85 at the Duluth Hwy exit (which is GA exit 108) northwest of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The mall features restaurants and entertainment (Medieval Times dinner theater, Jillian's bowling center, and more!) in addition to shopping. Popular outlets include Neiman Marcus Last Call, Saks Off Fifth outlet, Kenneth Cole, Zales, Carters. A location of the Bass Pro Shops thrills outdoor enthusiasts.

6.) Locust Grove Tanger Outlets; address, 1000 Tanger Drive, Locust Grove, GA 30248; phone, 770/957-5310. Here's a link to the Tanger-Locust Grove outlets website. Directions: Exit I-75 and turn east at Bill Gardener Parkway (exit 212), then make your first right on Tanger Blvd. The Outlets will be just ahead. The Locust Grove Tanger outlet mall features attractive, modern buildings laid out in strip-mall style. You'll have no trouble finding a place to park near your store...but you may want to re-park rather than walk from one end to another. Highlights for women include Banana Republic and Fossil. Kid's highlights include Gymboree, Children's Place and Strasburg Children.

Hawaii's best outlet mall

The Waikele Premium Outlets address is 94-790 Lumiaina Street, Waipahu, HI 96797; its phone number is 808/676-5656. Here's a link to the Waikele Premium Outlets website, which will make interesting reading before your Hawaii vacation! If you are not from Hawaii, these long names might scare you, but do not fear, these outlets are really not hard to find. The Waikile Premium Outlets are at the I-H1/I-H2 split just northwest of Honolulu. There are exits from either freeway that lead to the outlets, as you can see on this Google map.

List of Illinois' best outlet malls

The Chicago Premium Outlets feature outdoor shopping arranged so that overhead awnings keep you out of the snow or sun in most parts of the mall. Featuring 120+ stores, this outlet center can boast of offering a number of designer fashion outlets you won't be finding "just anywhere"...stores like Anne Klein, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Dooney & Bourke, Joe's Jeans, Lucky Brand, Juicy Couture---just for starters. Come early on weekends and for holiday shopping; this mall gets crowded!

Gurnee Mills is a fully-enclosed mall that's great for shopping out of the cold, snowy winter weather. You'll find movies and an array of restaurants from which to choose in this sprawling, massive mall...in addition to its many stores. Don't forget to check out the mall's new Neiman Marcus Last Call store!

3.) Huntley Premium Outlets: address, 11800 Factory Shops Blvd, Huntley, IL 60142; phone number 847/669-9100. Following is a link to the Huntley Premium Outlets website. If you were expecting to see the Prime Outlets at Huntley, you need not be confused. These outlets had been known as the Huntley Prime Outlets before they changed their ownership.

How to get to the Premium Outlets at Huntley: The outlets are west of Chicago on tollway I-90 at route 47. From either direction, exit I-90 and go north on route 47. The Huntley outlets will be on the right. For turn by turn directions, see this Google map of the Premium Outlets at Huntley.

Still another mall close enough for Chicago residents and visitors to enjoy, this cute outdoor mall is sure to please. Though not huge, you'll find some sought-after name brands here, including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, BCBG, Guess, and others.

4.) Tuscola Tanger Outlets: address, 400 Tuscola Blvd, Tuscola, IL 61953; phone number 217/253-2282. Here's the Tuscola Tanger Outlets website.

The Tanger Outlet Center at Tuscola (south of Champaign) is a well-kept outdoor mall that features close-to-the-door parking. Easy access to I-57 means that you'll be able to reach the mall without getting lost. Being out of a major metro area as Tuscola is, you will usually be able to get your shopping done without having to cope with the huge metro-area crowds.

List of Indiana Outlet Malls

1.) Edinburgh Premium Outlets; address, 11622 NE Executive Drive, Edinburgh, IN 46124; telephone, 812/526-9764. Following, you'll find a link to the Edinburgh Premium Outlets website. The Edinburgh Premium Outlets are an outdoor mall offering 80+ stores to its visitors. Though away from major cities, this mall is convenient for vacationers because it lies directly to the side of I-65 at the US 31 exit (which is exit 76.) Ample parking is available, and you can park close to the store you're seeking; however, re-parking may be necessary before you get all your shopping done! Highlights include Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Coach, Coldwater Creek, and many more.

The Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets are very attractive outdoor mall offering about 120 stores to visitors. Good-weather days are perfect for strolling along its corridors decorated with trees, plants and cute fixtures. Bad weather days--bundle up; there's a bit of a walk from the parking lots to most stores. Highlights at Lighthouse Place include Brooks Brothers, Burberry, Guess, Hollister, Coach, Fossil, Movado, and plenty more.

Iowa Outlet Centers

1.) Williamsburg Tanger Outlets; address, 150 Tanger Drive, Williamsburg, IA 52361; phone number 319668-2885. Here is a link to the Williamsburg Tanger Outlet Mall's website. As you can see on this Google map, if you exit north on I-80 exit 220, you will be right at the outlets.

The Tanger Outlets of Williamsburg, Iowa are an outdoor mall featuring up-close parking and a mid-sized variety of stores. Though not located in a major metropolitan area, vacationers will be pleased to know that the mall is only a fairly short detour away from I-80. Highlights at the mall include Aeropostale, Banana Republic, Coach, Coldwater Creek, and Fossil outlets (plus quite a few more.) Fast food is available both at the mall and nearby for those travelers making a mall visit their vacation "rest break."
