1.) Aquatica...Sea World's water park
Orlando's newest water park emphasizes beauty along with fun
Water park-lovers can never get too much of a good thing...and now there's one more new way to enjoy some splashing, sliding fun in Orlando. It's Sea World's new water park called "Aquatica!" Lushly landscaped and themed to an Australia/New Zealand motif, you'll enter an exotic world of beauty and fun once you step through the turnstiles. Island-style music is piped to all parts of the park to provide a relaxing atmosphere. To see Aquatica pictures and a complete listing of Aquatica's fun things to do, please see the Aquatica Water Park Attractions page of this site. Who will like Aquatica best? Attractions are provided for all ages. However, those seeking the wildest, steepest and fastest thrills may feel there's "something missing" at Aquatica. Those looking for kiddie fun and moderate-level slides are more apt to be pleased with the selection.
2.) Blizzard Beach water park at Walt Disney World
Whimsy is the word at Disney World's amusing snow-themed water park
Is viewing whimsical decor as much fun for you as riding and sliding? If so, you'll love Walt Disney World's Blizzard Beach water park, where a new grin will spread across your face every few steps as you explore the park's sights and attractions. The fun idea of building a water park which utilizes a ski resort's melting snow is carried out in numerous unique ways at Disney's Blizzard Beach. Of course, the snow and icicles are fake...but that only adds to the fun---you never have to get cold or do any shoveling! Meanwhile, you'll relax to the sounds of piped-in reggae music (and some classic favorites re-done in reggae style.) And, shade won't be hard to find in this tree-filled park whose landscaping includes everything from flowering trees (in the springtime) to hardy evergreens. There's even a ski lift to take you to the top of some of the ride lines! Who will like Blizzard Beach best? All ages enjoy Blizzard Beach. The children's area is especially clever, but there are also thrilling attractions, as well...including the extreme free-fall slide, "Summit Plummet."
3.) Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
All-ages fun at this popular Walt Disney World water park
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is a fun and lushly-landscaped enclave, resembling a tropical paradise on an exotic isle.It has the unfortunate theme of wreckage caused by a horrible typhoon which has caused considerable wind and storm surge damage. Uh...this is supposed to be a fun premise? A typhoon is actually a hurricane, just on the other side of the world and with another name...and wreckage isn't really fun to play around in. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a lovely water park with a well-rounded list of things to do for all ages in your family, Typhoon Lagoon might be one of your top choices to explore. In addition, the water park was closed for several months (only re-opening in mid-March, 2009,) so it should feel fresh and clean after this recent refurbishment.
4.) Wet N Wild water park
This thrill-seekers water park features moderate fun, too
Wet 'N Wild is Orlando's oldest water park... and it's been increasing its stable of attractions throughout the last several decades. The result? A good selection of water slides and attractions for all levels of thrills. There are attractions at Wet 'N Wild which simply can't be found elsewhere among Orlando water parks. Adrenaline-lovers find what they're seeking at Wet 'N Wild. But, so do enthusiasts of more moderate slides. Kiddie attractions are not as abundant here, but nevertheless, kids can still find a short list of things to do here. Though it's Spartan-looking when compared with other Orlando water parks, Wet 'N Wild is nevertheless attractive. Music is louder and more in-your-face here, and more current song selections are included in the park's play list. To see pictures and discover the list of water slides & fun at this well-liked water park, please visit the "Wet N Wild Attractions" page of this site.
