Sea World Orlando Discount Tickets

Never head to the park without first checking for deals!

In the slide show above, you're viewing pictures of fun Sea World Orlando attractions! If you'd like to visit Sea World Orlando, planning in advance can help save you money. This page can give you some ideas about which discounts are best for you and your family. Please see our SeaWorld San Diego Discounts page if you're heading to the park in California, because THIS page is about discounts at the Florida Sea World location.

How much do Sea World Orlando tickets cost at full price?

Plenty! But, most people will be able to get a discount...IF they plan ahead!

How much do full-price tickets to Sea World Orlando cost? Full-price tickets to SeaWorld in Florida cost a whopping $81.99 for adults (which includes all guests age 10 and over.) Children's tickets to SeaWorld Orlando cost $73.99 (for ages 3 through 9.) Children who are age 2 or younger are admitted free.

Do these prices seem steep? They should! All of the Orlando theme parks, including Sea World, charge more than similar theme parks in other states. The big question is, "How can I take my family to SeaWorld Orlando without breaking my budget?" A very good question, indeed!

Fortunately, there are some good discounts available to Sea World Orlando. The key is to PLAN AHEAD before venturing to the park. Almost anyone can get a discount of some kind UNLESS they simply walk up to the Sea World ticket booths without doing some advance thinking.

Are Sea World Orlando discounts very substantial? Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. But any discount at all is better than paying for full price tickets!

How do you know if you're really getting a discount? This is an important question! At the current time, there are a number of "discount" ticket outlets (both on-line and in Orlando) which are selling tickets that are actually more expensive than the print-at-home discounts being offered by Sea World's website! Since you DON'T want to be one of the many people each year who buys "discount" SeaWorld tickets at MORE than the park's own price, the best place to start your search is on the SeaWorld.com website.

SeaWorld.com's Print-at-home Discounts

A reliable and minimum-effort way to get discounts for SeaWorld Orlando

There are always 2 sets of prices on the SeaWorld.com website: those for Florida residents, and those for out-of-state visitors.

Current Non-resident Discounts:

1.) SeaWorld Orlando's Print-at-home Discount Tickets: SeaWorld Orlando's Print-at-home Discount Tickets: SeaWorld has some fairly good discounts going right now, including a 2-day ticket that costs less (with the print-at-home discount) than the 1-day adult ticket at the turnstiles and a buy an adult ticket get a kid ticket free special.

1A.) Buy one day get a second free! You pay $71.99 (that is less than the kid's price at the gate) and you get the second visit free. This might not be the best discount that they've ever offered, but if you would really like to visit the park 2 days (and you'll NEED 2 days to see everything,) then it's actually a pretty good discount. The kids price on this special is $63.99.

1B.) Buy an adult ticket and get a kids ticket free! For each adult ticket that you buy online at full price ($81.99), you can get one child ticket for free. With this buy an adult, get a child ticket special, you DO NOT get a second day free. Depending on your schedule, one day might or might not be the best thing for you. So which special is best? It just depends on your situation. Either way, they are both easily better than waiting to buy the tickets at the park.

2.) SeaWorld Multi-park discounts: Sea World has a 1 park, 2 park, 3 park or Orlando Flex ticket deal going on now. If you are going to be in the Orlando area for anywhere between a few days and two weeks, this can be a very good way of seeing as much of the local parks as you have time for. The two and three park passes allow you to also visit Busch Gardens and/or Aquatica, while the Orlando Flex Ticket allows you to see Sea World, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, Universal Studios, Wet 'N Wild, and Aquatica. The flexibility that these 1, 2, 3 or flex tickets offer can give you a great deal without forcing you to buy more than you will need. As expensive as some of these tickets are, they still can offer a tremendous value, if you are around long enough to use them.

You may use the following link to check Sea World Orlando's current non-resident print-at-home discounts which are being offered.

Current discounts for Florida residents:

Florida residents have much better offers on the SeaWorld.com website than non-residents do. That's because Sea World is open year-round, and needs local residents to help fill the park during the "slow season" for tourists.

Florida residents may buy a 2012 Fun Card, which is an awesome deal. For not much more than the price of a one-day ticket, you may purchase a Fun Card which will let you return to SeaWorld Orlando as often as you wish during 2012. It's literally a "buy one day, get the rest of the year free" offer! And, the earlier in the year that you purchase it, the more you save!

You may use the following link to check out the current deals on SeaWorld Orlando's Tickets page of SeaWorld.com; from there, you'll need to click on the "Florida Residents" link to view the FL-only specials.

Sea World Orlando's EZ Pay annual passes

The most "painless" way to pay for park admission...and possibly the cheapest option for frequent visitors, too

Getting a Sea World annual pass is the cheapest way to enjoy the park IF you're a frequent visitor. You can visit as many times as you like...PLUS enjoy savings on merchandise and food...all for an annual price that's not much more than the cost of a one-day ticket. Even better...you don't have to pay all at once; you can make monthly payments!

Do you think you would even notice $9.16 coming out of your bank account every month? Probably not...but you actually CAN get a 1-park Sea World Orlando annual pass for that meager monthly payment with their EZ Pay plan! (That price is for ages 10 thru 61; junior and senior EZ Pay annual passes cost even less.) Even if you have 4 family members, the amount deducted from your account will probably not be missed each month. Yet, you'll be able to enjoy SeaWorld Orlando's roller coasters, Shamu shows, and other fun attractions for as long as you keep your membership.

You may add SeaWorld Orlando's "sister" parks to your pass, too. For only a few dollars more, you can add your choice of Busch Gardens, Aquatica or the Adventure Island water park in Tampa to your annual pass. Or, you can add all 4 of them. Or, you can add ALL of the Sea World Parks across the country by getting the Platinum pass.

Sea World-lovers should seriously consider this easy-pay plan, in my opinion. We've had my EZ Pay Platinum passes on & off since 2006, and have saved LOTS of money because of it. (Pass holders get discounts on parking, food, merchandise and Sea World tours in addition to the admission benefits.)

Monthly deductions will come out of your account every month. The amount is so small that you probably won't miss it. Yet, you'll know that when it's time to go to Sea World, you don't have to worry. You'll simply show your pass...and into the park you'll go! (SeaWorld doesn't pay us to recommend their annual passports; we simply feel very happy to have such a painless way to visit the parks & want to share our experiences with it.)

There really haven't been any glitches in the years that we've had our passes. They've never taken more money than they're supposed to, nor denied us admission to the park...nor denied us admission to any of Sea World's sister parks (since we have the Platinum plan, which includes these.) The only thing you'll need to watch out for is if you change bank accounts. If you fail to notify SeaWorld and they haven't been able to take their payments on schedule, you'll have to make up the amount you've missed paying before your annual pass is reinstated.

Would an EZ Pay annual pass work for you, too? Maybe...or maybe not. If you don't live or visit regularly in the area of a Sea World park, you may not use your pass enough to make it worth your while. However, many families live hundreds of miles away from Orlando...yet visit the city yearly (or more frequently, even.) If you fall into that category, the Sea World annual pass could very well be the perfect budget-stretcher for your group.

For more Sea World Orlando annual pass info, here's a link to the Annual Pass page of the SeaWorld Orlando website. If you would prefer to talk over the various options with a Sea World customer service rep, you may call their toll-free phone number 1-888-800-5447.

Other SeaWorld Orlando coupons, discounts and special offers

Pepsi can discounts, AAA member savings, Corporate & Convention discounts, and more!

1.) There are sometimes terrific Pepsi can discounts at SeaWorld Orlando! SeaWorld Orlando usually runs a Pepsi Can discount every summer. For example, during Summer 2011, the park's Pepsi discount allowed guests to purchase a 2-park ticket for $99 (This included admission to SeaWorld Orlando plus the adjacent Aquatica water park.) If you're a water park-lover, this deal was a good value. However, there are other months throughout the year when Sea World has NO Pepsi can discounts running. The park will probably run another such discount during Summer 2012, but as of this update, this hasn't yet been announced.

Note: SeaWorld NEVER has Coke can discounts! Some readers have asked about this....but whenever Sea World Orlando runs a soda can special, it's always with Pepsi. (Theme parks always advertise with the same company whose drinks they sell inside the park. Since Sea World serves Pepsi products, their soda can discounts are always run through the Pepsi company.)

2.) Wendy's coupon discounts: SeaWorld Orlando has put out a special discount coupon through Wendy's Restaurants for Summer 2011. With the special Wendy's coupon, you'll be able to get a $10 discount off the price of your admission ticket.

3.) Are you an AAA member? Sea World Orlando is a member of the "Show your pass and save" program. The discount is small (about $5 for an adult ticket,) but if you've walked up to the ticket booth without any other discount plan, at least it's better than no discount at all.

More substantial discounts can often be found at an AAA office. However, not every AAA office carries tickets for Sea World Orlando (especially the AAA offices which are closer to a different Sea World location.) If you live where they're not available, you can drop into an AAA office in Florida before heading to Sea World Orlando to see what discounts are currently available. If you'd like to check for information online, here's a link to the AAA.com website.

4.) SeaWorld discounts from your hotel: A number of Orlando and Kissimmee hotels & motels have discounts available. You may want to ask at the front desk to see if your hotel is one of them.

5.) Are you attending an Orlando convention? You get a SeaWorld discount! The city of Orlando has a very busy and diverse convention schedule...and if you're one of the many people who visit Orlando with your company's convention or trade show, then you automatically qualify for Sea World's convention discount! At the very least, you'll save $10 on your ticket...but that amount can increase to $20 off...or more! To see the types of Orlando convention discounts that are available, here's the Orlando convention discounts page of Sea World's Group Rates website.

6.) Corporate discounts to SeaWorld Orlando: A number of Florida employers are members of SeaWorld's corporate discounts program, which is called the Shamu Club. You cannot get the cheap corporate-rate tickets at the park's ticket booths; you must talk to your human resources department. What if your company isn't taking advantage of the Shamu Club discounts? Urge them to sign up---it's free for companies to join! The only requirement is having a 100 employee minimum at the company. Tell your human resources department to view the Shamu Club corporate tickets information from the park's official website. Soon after your company signs up, you'll be getting into SeaWorld with your cheaper corporate tickets!

7.) SeaWorld Twitter and Facebook discounts: SeaWorld sends out frequent tweets to its fans. It can actually wear you out to read them all. MOST of their tweets are about animal care and theme park news. But every once in awhile, you'll get news of a good discount or special offer. For example, in April, 2010 when a number of European travelers were stranded in Orlando (by volcanic ash from Iceland grounding many flights,) SeaWorld unexpectedly sent a tweet inviting these luckless tourist to visit the theme park for free!

If you follow SeaWorld on Twitter or Facebook, you might not get a special deal right when you need it. But, you'll learn plenty about SeaWorld...and you just might pick up a discount when you're least expecting to find one!

SeaWorld Orlando's Official Hotels:

Package deals may convince you to stay at SeaWorld's "official" hotels!

Exciting package-deal specials deals can be yours...IF you stay at one of SeaWorld's "official" hotels!

The benefits go far beyond saving money. You'll actually be able to save time...and maybe even feel a bit like royalty!

The new benefits for staying at SeaWorld's Official Hotels include:

1.) FREE Quick Queue front-of-line pass

2.) FREE shuttle to SeaWorld, the Aquatica water park, Discovery Cove...and even Universal Studios Orlando

3.) Early entry to Sea World Orlando...but only on selected dates during the peak season. (At other times of the year, you probably won't need this benefit.)

For further info about SeaWorld Orlando's official hotel packages, here's the SeaWorld Official Hotel Benefits page of the park's website.

Military discounts: 1 free ticket per year---

for you AND 3 dependents!

Are you an active member of the military? If so, you can get the very best Sea World Orlando discount tickets of all---the price is absolutely free! (Activated or drilling reservists and National Guardsmen are included in this program, as well.) Up to 3 direct dependents may accompany you to the park...also for free.

You need to register for this program. This may be done either on-line in advance...or at the park.

How many free tickets can you get? You and your family may attend 1 Sea World Park per year (for each year of your service. If you skip a year, you can't double-up and visit 2 parks during the next year, however.) This not only includes Sea World Orlando, but its sister-parks, as well (such as Busch Gardens and Aquatica.)

Note: this program may (or may not) end at any time. Called "Here's to the Heroes," this free-ticket program for military members has been in place for a number of years. However, during this time Anheuser-Busch has always owned the Sea World Parks. Since the parks were recently sold, it is still unclear whether or not the new park owners will continue the program indefinitely.

For more information about the military free Sea World tickets, here's a link to Sea World's "Here's to the Heroes" website.

Timeshare tour discount tickets to Sea World Orlando

You'll get substantial discounts; you'll also have to sit through a 2-hour presentation

Taking time-share tours are a way to get substantially discounted Sea World Orlando tickets. I've used that method myself in the past. The tickets are indeed "real," and you won't have any problem getting the park to accept them. Opportunities for taking timeshare tours abound in Orlando; if you're not approached about taking one at your hotel, you may be asked about it while visiting a store or even a tourist attraction.

Tours invariably start out pleasantly. You may be offered high-quality food from a light buffet. You make small-talk with your tour guide. You get to look through beautiful buildings which boast lavish decor and exciting amenities.

When the tour is over, the trouble begins. If you don't wish to make a purchase, you'll be put through some high-pressure tactics meant to make you feel like an idiot before you are allowed to get your tickets and leave.

If you do like the timeshares and make a purchase, you will have just gotten yourself into an expensive deal that will eventually make the cost of Sea World tickets look cheap by comparison. Worse yet, if you default on your payments due to unforeseen financial trouble, you'll end up with a big blot on your credit record.

But, despite these problems, the ticket deals are real and substantial. But only YOU can decide if the negative aspects of the situation are worth it to you.

Risking ticket fraud for SeaWorld Orlando discounts

Not every Sea World Orlando ticket discount is a good deal. This is especially true if you pay for a ticket which has been already used. Although this seems so incredible that it could never happen, we know that it does.

Recently, we were standing in line behind a couple who presented tickets which wouldn't work in SeaWorld's scanners. The couple was informed that the tickets had already been scanned before. Their faces were simply crestfallen. "But we paid for them!" was not a good enough answer to get them into Sea World. When you pay for tickets from a place such as Ebay or Craig's List, you may---or may NOT---get what you paid for.

There are amazing deals to be had on the internet. Is the "deal" you're considering legitimate? If you're not certain, why take a chance? Being rejected at the turnstiles would undoubtedly be an experience you'd remember with anguish for years to come.
