First of all, there's really no such thing as a BAD outlet mall! Savings are savings, no matter where you find them. It doesn't matter if the mall is small...or old...or ugly...or off the beaten path.If you live near a factory outlet which save you money, that's great! Not everybody does. Small outlets are more common than you might think. Not having a prime location...or even a website...saves money---savings which can be passed onto YOU! Even so, not every outlet mall makes a great DESTINATION from afar! You wouldn't want to drive for many miles only to discover that you've reached a place without any stores which interest your family. No one does. And because of this fact, this list has been limited to outlet malls which meet 2 important criteria. First of all, the factory outlet centers on this list must have at least 30 good outlet stores to offer visitors who've had to drive a ways to get there. Secondly, all the outlet malls listed have websites which are maintained in good condition (with frequent updates of new stores added & out-of-business stores deleted.) This is important to people who may be traveling 20, 30...or even 50+ miles. It's absolutely essential that potential customers be able to evaluate what shopping opportunities they'll find upon arrival. KANSAS BEST OUTLET MALLSFor further mall information, you'll want to visit the Legends Outlets--Kansas City website. LOUISIANA'S BEST OUTLET MALLSOver 60 factory outlet stores await you in the conveniently-located Gonzales Tanger Outlet Mall. A sampling of stores here includes Guess, Charlotte Russe, Aeropostale, Justice Just for Girls, Ecko Unltd, Old Navy, VF Outlet, Sag Harbor and Ultra Diamonds. Located directly to the side of I-10 not far south of Baton Rouge, this outlet mall has a great location for both locals and the many vacationers who travel on Interstate 10 for road trips. MAINE'S BEST OUTLET MALLSWhen is an outlet mall NOT an outlet mall? When it's a collection of individual outlet stores clustered (more or less) together. The unique charm of the various outlet stores in their own unique buildings makes for quite an unusual experience in Freeport. It seems almost like an entire village has given itself over to the outlet shopping experience! MOST, though not all, of the outlet stores are listed on the following website: www.FreportUSA.com. One notable exception is the Abercrombie & Fitch outlet here, who chooses not to have a listing on the official website. However, you may find out information about the A & F outlet in Freeport on the USA Abercrombie & Fitch outlets page, if that particular store is one you're interested in visiting. Enjoy about 65 fun outlet stores spread out over 5 different complexes along the town's main thoroughfare. These outlet stores make for major summertime shopping fun for out of state visitors; try your hand at grabbing bargains alongside the rest! MARYLAND'S LIST OF BEST OUTLET MALLS
Huge and rollicking, Arundel Mills (south of Baltimore) is a hybrid mall which will offer you opportunities for more than shopping. A Cinemark 24 Theater, Dave & Busters and Medieval Times Dinner Theater location will make sure that you have plenty of fun. A food court (along with other dining) will make sure that you never get hungry. And the mall's roster of outlet stores, discount stores and regular retail stores will make sure that you can buy just about anything your family might need. Some of the good outlet shopping opportunities include an "Off Fifth" Saks Fifth Avenue outlet, a Neiman Marcus Last Call outlet, Disney Store outlet, along with BCBG, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and others. 
Located near the intersection of I-70 & I-81, this lovely outdoor mall is conveniently located for visitors from various home cities. You'll find a large, 100-store choice awaiting you at Hagerstown, including factory outlets of interest to every family member. A sampling of stores includes Black & Decker, Bose, Chico's, Dockers, Eddie Bauer, Aldo, Anne Klein, Guess, Easy Spirit and many others.Another beautiful outdoor center by the Premium Outlets chain is the Queenstown outlet mall in eastern Maryland (across the bay from Annapolis.) MASSACHUSETTS' BEST OUTLET MALLSVacationers or day-trippers taking in the sights of lovely western Massachusetts will find the Lee Premium Outlets to be a convenient shopping stop. Located directly to the south side of the Mass Pike at exit 2, you can adventure through the shops without any time delays. You'll be pleased with the selection at this mid-sized outlet mall (60+ stores) which features styles for every age group. Aeropostale, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Coach, BCBG, Gymboree and Tumi are all examples of the good outlet stores you'll find here. You'll find an unusually large selection of factory stores here...about 170 of them! Upscale brands are a specialty at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, but you can also find a selection of favorite stores in more moderate price ranges. MICHIGAN'S BEST OUTLET MALLSA large & attractive outdoor mall, visitors to the Birch Run Premium Outlets will find 145+ stores awaiting them. Even Fido will enjoy a visit to Birch Run; there are several pet areas where he can stretch and enjoy himself when the weather's fine. As you would expect with an outlet mall so large, there's "something for everyone" at Birch Run. An interesting sub-specialty, geared to the many outdoors-lovers in this locality, is a collection of active sports outlets such as Coleman, North Face, Columbia Sportswear, and Golf Mania. Home-stores such as Black & Decker, Chef's Outlet, Lenox, Smith & Hawken, Kitchen Collection, Corningware, Restoration Hardware & Direct Tools are yet another sub-specialty. And, of COURSE, you'll find your favorite brand names in fashion and accessories, as well! Is is snowing? Raining? Hot & muggy outside? Who cares...once you're inside the huge, climate-controlled Great Lakes Crossing mega-mall! Outlet shopping mingles in this hybrid mall along with restaurants (such as Rainforest Cafe), entertainment (such as an AMC movie theater) and "regular" retail stores. A cute outdoor mall featuring 75+ stores is the Howell Tanger Outlet Center in southern Michigan. Located directly off of I-96 midway between Detroit and Lansing, it's got a location that's convenient to both Michigan residents and out-of-state visitors. Featuring popular and proven name-brands which will appeal to a wide range of guests, you'll see such stores as Guess, Jones New York, Gymboree, Justice Just for Girls, The Gap, Maurices, Nine West, Rue 21 and many others. MINNESOTA'S BEST OUTLET MALLSNorthwest of the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area (and SE of St. Cloud,) you'll find the lovely town of Albertville. I-94 passes within a stone's throw of the mall, making it a convenient stop, and 100 good outlet shops will beckon for your attention once you arrive. Though this is an outdoor mall, many of the stores do have in-front-of-the-door parking for your comfort during the winter months. The mall's dozens of stores are too many to list here, but a sampling includes Brooks Brothers, Ecko Unltd, Guess, Kenneth Cole, Lucky Brand Jeans, Tommy Kids, Bose and Trade Secret. This relatively small outdoor mall (about 35 outlets) is conveniently located for vacationers heading northward to Minneapolis/St Paul: it's directly to the side of I-35. Among its stores you'll find Columbia Sportswear, Old Navy, Levi's, Maurices, Children's Place, Carters, Nike, Osh Kosh, Bass and Pendleton. MISSISSIPPI'S BEST OUTLET MALLSThe Gulfport Premium Outlet Mall is a beautiful, modern outdoor center. A large, air conditioned Food Court makes a great place for your group to gather (and brag about their bargain-hunting conquests!) Its location couldn't be more convenient--directly to the south side of I-10, and plainly visible from the lanes of traffic. You absolutely CAN'T get lost! Some of the 60+ stores here include The Gap, Nautica, Lane Bryant, Casual Male, Strasburg Children, Coach, BCBG, Ann Taylor and several dozen other fine stores. Why gamble with your money in the nearby casinos when winning great bargains at Prime is a sure bet? MISSOURI'S BEST OUTLET MALLSAlong with the many vacation opportunities that Branson, Missouri has to offer, outlet shopping is a well-loved activity. The Branson Tanger Outlets are on many a vacationer's "must visit" list because of its 65 factory stores featuring popular brand names. Alfred Dunner, Izod, Haggar, Polo Ralph Lauren, Eddie Bauer, the Disney Outlet and several dozen other stores await you at this attractive, outdoor center. Though it's one of the smaller factory outlet malls on this list, it does meet the minimum requirement of having both a website and 30 good outlet stores. Hordes of music-loving, middle-class couples descend on Branson every year to enjoy the area's live-performance theaters...and the stores selected for this mall fit its target clientele. Women can dress-shop at Jones New York, Dress Barn or Lane Bryant, for example, while the menfolk can get mesmerized at the Black & Decker outlet or Tools & More. In the heart of Lake of the Ozarks resort country, there's more to do than boating & fishing...there's great outlet shopping, as well! A visit to this large factory outlet center (boasting about 110 shops!) is sure to add spice and variety to your vacation. You can visit such top name-brand outlets as Aeropostale, Banana Republic, BCBG Max Azria, Tommy Hilfiger, Johnston & Murphy, Skechers, Justice Just for Girls, Fossil, Bose, Yankee Candle & many more! Huge and full of fun, St. Louis Mills (in the NW metro area) is a hybrid mall which offers a mix of shopping, dining and entertainment. A Regal 18 movie theater and a Nascar Speedway family fun center are just 2 of many entertainment possibilities here. Outlet stores include brands like Guess, Dress Barn, Maidenform and Levi's/Dockers. The outlets are joined by popular discount stores such as Marshall's and Burlington Coat Factory. Rounding out the mix is a selection of "regular" retail shops, as well...although, most of the retail stores are aware that the customers here are looking for bargains, and usually have a discount section, as well. The mall's 175 stores are contained in an enclosed, air-conditioned mall that keeps out the heat on hot & muggy summer days...and makes winter shopping a pleasure, as well. NEVADA'S BEST OUTLET MALLS
Laughlin, Nevada may be an oasis for gamblers and river sport-lovers, but it's truly a desert when it comes to shopping. Though much smaller than the Las Vegas and Primm outlet malls, Laughlin's Preferred Outlet Center does offer 35+ stores where shoppaholics can indluge their craving. Outlet stores such as Bass, Alfred Dunner, Levis/Dockers, Lane Bryant, Casual Male XL, Reebok, Koret and Naturalizer await you here. A big plus is that it's fully enclosed & delightfully air-conditioned to sequester you safely away from Laughlin's summertime heat. This beautiful outdoor mall opened in 2008, and makes a fun destination whether you like shopping or not. Why? Because outlet stores aren't the only things there are to do at Legends. There are restaurants, a state-of-the-art Dickinson movie theater, a huge Sheel's sporting goods store and, of course, the marina. Outlet stores include Guess, Banana Republic, Gap, Bose, Saks Off 5th and a variety of others. NEW HAMPSHIRE'S BEST OUTLET MALLSSettler's Green is beautiful...nestled amongst tree-laden hills that are gorgeously green (or red & gold...or white, depending on when you visit.) Settler's Green's architecture and decor are attractive and blend well with its natural setting. In fact, even tourists who don't like shopping would enjoy a visit here (especially during special-event times such as the annual car show, the Fall Festival & Scarecrow contest, or the Holiday Tree Festival.) In addition to the scenery & events, 60+ outlets awaig you here, including Talbot's, Orvis, Champion, Rockport shoes, Harry & David, Brooks Brothers and several dozen more. Enjoy shopping at this outdoor mall which offers close-up parking. A selection of the Tilton outlet mall's 50+ outlet stores includes Kay Jewelers, Coach, Brooks Brothers, Ecco shoes, Aeropostale, Skechers, Bath & Body Works and several dozen others. Quick access to I-93 makes visiting the Tanger Outlets a good destination for vacationers or day-trippers out to view the beautiful countryside. NEW JERSEY'S BEST OUTLET MALLSEnjoy fresh ocean breezes when you visit the Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City; after all, its many outlet stores and restaurants lie only 2-4 blocks from the ocean! It's got a mix of about 90 businesses...a mix mostly of outlet stores, with a selection of restaurants and retail shops for variety. Put on your walking shoes---because there are a number of blocks you'll need to cover to hit all the stores you might want (and parking lots are located out on the fringes.) Stores you'll enjoy here include U.S. Polo Assn, Timberland, St John, Perry Ellis, J Jill, both Ecco and Ecko, BCBG, Aldo, Adidas and many other familiar brand names. What could be a better location for this fun New Jersey outlet mall than being adjacent to I-195...AND just down the street from the popular Six Flags Great Adventure theme park? The buildings surround a huge central parking lot...so close-up parking to the store you want is usually easy to get. Though miles from an interstate, vacationers to this area will find the pleasant drive through the countryside an added bonus of exploring this very serviceable outlet mall. The Secaucus Outlets contain both a 50-store mall (Harmon Meadow Outlet Mall) and an entire outlet district dotted with individual factory stores. Whew, it's overwhelming...but if you're a shopping-lover, you'll certainly have fun. A car is a must, plus plenty of time to get from store to store. NEW YORK'S BEST OUTLET MALLSPositioned as it is on Long Island, the Deer Park Tanger Outlets have the potential for a great number of visitors. Also known as The Tanger Outlets at The Arches, you'll find 75 good outlet stores at this very attractive...and still-new...outdoor mall. A special treat here is taking in a show at the Regal Theaters after shopping! A selection of outlet stores here includes the "Off Fifth" Saks outlet, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Betsy Johnson, Optical Shop of Aspen, Kenneth Cole, Juicy Couture, Justice, Petit Bateau and many others. Niagara Falls are thunderous and stunning. Many travel-lovers journey to see them. Located adjacent to I-90, the Waterloo Premium outlet mall is an outdoor center with a huge central parking lot. Finding a space near the store you want makes winter shopping easier to navigate...and summer shopping provides pleasant strolling opportunities. You'll find a wide variety of brands for clothing and accessorizing every member of your family, from tots to teens to adults...plus home furnishings and specialty shops, as well. Woodbury Commons is a HUGE outlet center featuring 220 stores specializing in designer clothing and accessories. This mall is the Holy Grail of outlet shopping for top designer brands in the entire northeastern USA. Sought-after designer outlets here include Diane von Furstenberg, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Roberto Cavali, Valentino, YSL and more. Barney's New York has an outlet store here; there's a Last Call Neiman Marcus, too...and with 220 stores, you'll DROP long before you finish your shopping! NORTH CAROLINA'S BEST OUTLET MALLSWhat stores can you find at the Mebane Tanger Outlets? Very good ones! With just 30 factory outlet stores, Tanger's Blowing Rock outlet mall is one of the smallest malls on this list. The mall is attractive and, more to the point, actually has a good list of stores for its size. For example, you can find Banana Republic, Coach, The Gap, J Crew, Nautica, Calvin Klein and Pac Sun outlets here. Though it's not a "destination" mall for which you'd make a special trip (it's not even adjacent to an interstate!) it's positioned for picking up traffic from visitors heading to the Great Smokey Mountains and several beautiful state parks. Concord Mills Mall is a huge indoor mall where you can stroll in climate-controlled comfort. You'll be faced with more temptations to linger at the mall than simply shopping 'til you drop--because you'll find a variety of food 'n fun here, too. Kids will love the Nascar Speedway family fun center, plus there's an AMC megaplex here that your family will enjoy, as well (and that's just for starters.) Being a hybrid mall, you'll find "regular" retail stores here in addition to outlets (the Bass Pro Shop, for example.) Outlets you may enjoy include Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Bose, Disney Store, Reebok/Rockport, Saks Off 5th, Tommy Hilfiger...and, of course, that's just a small sample! This attractive outdoor mall offers shoppers 80 good outlet stores in which they may revel. Located directly to the side of I-95 with easy off/easy on access, this location is directly on the path thousands of tourists use for their spring breaks and summer vacations.
